Romance, or Romanze (Romanz) Motif Gold Band by Bjorn Wiinblad for Rosenthal studio-linie of Germany - original design 1961 - this particular tray produced in the mid 1980s.
15 inch long oval serving tray. Marked Rosenthal Studio-linie Germany.
Excellent condition. No scratches or chips, no utensil marks, no gold loss.
The embossed pattern of ovals, circles and stylized branches evokes natural elements, particularly snow and trees. It works for every special occasion and seems to lend itself to a Christmas table without relying on overt holiday imagery.
