''The story''

The coat of arms of Armenia shows a lion with wings and an eagle. The lion and the eagle have been symbols of the ancient empires of Armenia for centuries.
As with the flag, so with the coat of arms, the law that established it as the coat of arms of Armenia was adopted in 1992, but was used for the first time during the period of the first Republic of Armenia (1918 - 1920).
*The lion and the eagle hold a shield. The shield is divided into five separate pieces.
*In the middle of the shield is Mount Ararat and at the top is Noah's Ark.
*In the four corners of the shield are the symbols of the 4 largest Armenian Kingdoms.
Bottom left we see the two eagles that were the symbol of the Kingdom of Artaxerxes (1st century BC). On the upper left, the lion with the cross was the symbol of the Kingdom of Pagratuni (7th - 11th century AD). At the top right we find the double-headed eagle which was the symbol of the Kingdom of Arsacid (2nd - 4th century AD).
*At the buy bottom right is the lion holding a cross that was the symbol of the Kingdom of Cilicia (12th - 13th century AD ).
*In addition, at the bottom of the coat of arms we see the following five elements:
-Sword: the power of the nation that breaks the chains of oppression.
-Broken Chain: the will of the people for independence and freedom
-Wheat: the working nature of the Armenian people
-Feather: the intellectual and cultural heritage of the Armenians
-Ribbon: symbolizes the flag of Armenia.
