In acupuncture, Meridian is each of a set of pathways in the body along which vital energy is said to flow. There are 12 buy different meridians in the body, each associated with a specific body part. These earrings were made as a donation piece for a local acupuncture group in our city, Milwaukee Community Acupuncture. The name Meridian seemed so absolutely fitting for these earrings. Milwaukee Community Acupuncture provides affordable, quality, and individualized acupuncture treatments to people of all means and backgrounds. We were so honored to be asked to donate a piece for their upcoming auction. What they believe in and how they serve the community is a true inspiration to us.
Meridian is comprised of glass seed beads in gold, copper, sienna, red and crystal gold in a circular phase pattern, the light from which cascades onto the form lined in moth wing and galvanized matte rose gold. The black as night background allows for the circular designs to emit their power and glow.
Meridian hangs at 4.75 inches long and is hung from a 14k gold filled ear wire.
