Totally great decor
The wood is old and fairly dried out...a wheel fell off as the dowel had probably shrunk just enough to make the wheel hole a bit too large. If that should happen, just put a little water on the dowel so it gains a bit of moisture to swell the wood just a little...works like a charm. A trick I learned a buy long time ago with a wood shovel handle :)
