Here's a great bit of British history and a treat for fans of the popular Netflix series "The Crown". Time & Tide was a news and culture magazine with an interesting history of its own. This edition is from June 18-24 of 1964 (Vol. 45, No. 25), which coincides with the end of Season 2 of "The Crown" The cover story is about Wallis Simpson and the former monarch, promoting a film called "A King's Story" which is a biography of The Duke of Windsor up to the time of his abdication. It also contains interesting stories of arts, culture and politics of the time.
We haven't seen another copy of this scarce magazine, so it may be one of very few in existence, providing a unique historical insight into Britain and the royal family at that time.
CONDITION:
We're not professionals at grading books, so please rely on photos and description to make your assessment of condition.
The magazine is in pretty good vintage condition for its age. It's lightly worn, with some discoloration, bumps and wrinkles and a few folded corners. The major condition issue is the black X in marker on the cover, possibly indicating that it had been returned to the publisher, unsold by some vendor.
