Wood buy Fired Stoneware Gourd Style Tokkuri Sake Pitcher

Here is a beautiful wood fired gourd style porcelain tokkuri bottle. The inside was glazed with a Shino glaze. The outside is bare clay that was decorated with a slip made from an iron saturated wild South Carolina clay. This bottle has a natural wood ash glaze from fly ash melting onto the pot during the firing. This bottle measures 7.12" h x 3.5" (18 cm buy x 9 cm). This bottle holds 400 ml (approximately 13.5 oz). This bottle would work well as a decanter and server for your favorite spirits.

This bottle is food and top rack dishwasher safe in case you want to use it as a serving pitcher. Hand-washing is the safest way to clean artisan pottery.
This bottle was fired in an anagama kiln for 3 days.
