Antique Edwardian Translucent Natural Jelly Opal Stick/ Tie Pin, 9ct Yellow Gold & White Metal Vintage Pin, Antique Opal buy Brooches, c.1910s

DESCRIPTION: A simple and elegant antique Edwardian period natural jelly opal stick pin, c.1910s. Cabochon opal solitaire is set in a 9ct yellow gold pierced mount. The stone is natural with a distinct foggy blue hue; it magnifies the the 'x' shaped reverse part of the mount which can be seen through the transparent cabochon.

CONDITION: This piece comes in good antique condition with the only issue of note being some minor scratching to the cabochon which is not visible when worn.

HALLMARKS: The pin is stamped '9ct' on the reverse of the cabochon's mount. The pin part of the stick pin is made of untested white metal and is unmarked.

DIMENSIONS: This piece measures approximately 5.7cm in total length from the top of the cabochon to the bottom of the pin. The dimensions of the cabochon are 11mm x 9mm.
