Must purchase by 1/6/22 Bing and Grondahl (B&G) Seagull Pattern Porcelain Luncheon Plates can now be added to your collection or can begin a new collection. Pieces of this Danish delicate Seagull pattern are becoming very rare and sought after in the states. The blue and white porcelain is so delicate to the feel and so beautiful to your eye. As with all Seagull patterns beauty is enhanced by the raised fine porcelain work and intricate paintings to display breathtaking designs of seagulls flying and ripples in the waves. These luncheon plates are truly rare and is the matching companion to other unusual Seagull pattern serving dishes displayed in the BoyerVntgeTreasures store.
This Seagull pattern is one of the oldest B & G pattern (1895ish). Plus this piece is one of the earlier as it does not display the gold gilt on the edges as the newer pieces do. Each luncheon plate measures 7" in diameter and bears the authentic logo mark plus the 28 mold number. One artist's signature is Ni; the other is M in script.
The serving side of these luncheon plates is in perfect condition as if they had never been used. They have no chips, no cracks, stains, even though my Mother used these regularly for bridge club, luncheon and charity events. However, the backside of each has a tiny flaw. See photo of M which has a very short - 1/8" - scrape and photo of Ni which has the remnants of a name sticker from Mother's charity use, I presume.
You will always treasure your B&G Seagull porcelain.
