These are all # 1 natural morels. We pick our mushrooms in the mountains surrounding our valley. These are Bue Mt. Mushrooms. THESE ARE THE FRESHES OF THE FRESH. THEY WERE PICKED JUST AFTER THAN CAME OUT. Great for omelets, Fettucine, Stroganoff and such.

NOTE, these are not a BURN MOREL that grows in vast amounts after a wildfire or controlled burn.

The difference in a forest morel and a burn morel is that a forest morel is a DOUBLE WALL MUSHROOM, and a Burn morel is a single wall mushroom. A very different taste as well. Some say the Burn Morels have that fire burnt taste.

This would be about 4+ pound of fresh mushrooms before we dried them. We always weigh our mushrooms before packaging, and add a little extra to make sure you get what you pay for.

After they are dried, they are weight , packaged up and vacuum sealed the same day off the dryer. Locking in the taste forever. We always dry our morels the same day as they are picked.

I personally like to take my Morels and fry them in butter, with a touch of garlic and pepper. Let them simmer at a low temperature with a lid on pan till cooked. Great with a steak differ or meat type of dish.

NOTE: I HAVE HAD TO RAISE THE COST OF MY MORELS DUE TO THE FUEL COST MY PICKERS NOW HAVE TO PAY. I HAD TO RAISE THERE RATES PER POUND.

WE VACUUM SEAL ALL OUR DRIED PRODUCTS, sealing in the freshness. NO ZIPLOCK BAGS HERE. Size of mushrooms will very, as they are field run from small to large.
