Buy Antique Original Framed Watercolor Bridge Lake & Trees w Tower in the Distance Pink Sky Framed As Is NO Glass

This original watercolor has been in my home close to 30 years and was originally purchased at an Atlanta estate when I was in my 20s. I believe it dates to the 1920s-40s,

The total measurement of this piece is approximately 23 3/4 inches tall by around 11 1/4 inches wide.

I decided to take it apart since there was a slight bit of water damage on the back and I wanted to make sure it didn't extend to the artwork. Fortunately, it was just on the cardboard backing (I had a slight roof leak years ago...SEE PICS). NOTE that I will ship this WITHOUT the glass and the shipping price is based on it being shipped without it.

The scene looks like to me like it could be from a city park (Central Park New York?) where it feels nearly rural, but with the bridge and the tower in the background, you know you're buy not far from a city.

In fair-good preowned vintage condition, I would recommend the next owner replace the current matting and backing with acid-free products. The glass is currently loose in the frame since I took out the staples on the back (as you can see), so I am thinking that it may be best to send this without the glass for the sake of safe shipping and lowering shipping costs.

Despite the apologies, this is a great watercolor that with a little TLC can be preserved for many years and decades to come.

So: NO GLASS. You can take this to a framer when you get it to have new glass and acid free products.
