Ravens, in some native American tribes, bring messages. Ravens like most corbae, also love shiny trinkets and will steal any we humans leave within view and access. Because I have just a dram of Lenape tribe in my bloodlines and because I am fascinated with all things corvid, I wanted to make a ring that stretched my smithing skills and combined a bit of imagery from myth and meld it with a suggestion of the modern world.

This flying copper raven has on his back a satellite dish. He's carrying it away because it is shiny and he's a bit of a buy cleptomaniac. But he's also a harbinger of change, and I thought it fitting that this messenger bird has stolen one of the ways we humans now communicate and transmit data.
