Product code: Hand Crafted Birdseye Maple Guitar Stand and buy Workstation Neck Support

An Birdseye Maple, Guitar Stand and Workstation, Artifact. Birdseye Maple is a heavy weight wood while exhibiting strength and resistance to dents and dings (patina happens). This Artifact is an amazing specimen if Birdseye Maple is your wood of choice. This one has a remarkable feel to it. It has a very soft finish and resists finger prints, dings and scratches. (patina happens) It looks great in any setting. This specimen was legally obtained and was hand picked from one of multiple sources buy worldwide. (All Exotic Wood is becoming extremely difficult to find, if you can afford it.) As soon as you pick this Birdseye Maple Sentinel up you might find yourself amazed its weight. This one is beefy! A smooth 320 grit, hand rubbed with blended teak oil and finished in carnauba wax for a smooth, soft touch finish. This one may have some sharp edges so use caution when handling. The images do not do the intense detail and shimmers justice.

Please look at each photo carefully as the one you see is the one you will receive. I do not provide any sort of warranty or return policy, but if you have some sort of issue you can contact me.

Measurements are nominal. I begin with a 4" x 7" and a 4" x 4" pieces of wood and shape the wood from there. This particular piece fits in all my guitar cases.
You will receive the Alien Artefakt, Guitar Sentinel, 2 x pieces of Dycem Anti-Slip Pads and a fabric sleeve to keep it all together.

As with all wood. It expands and contracts with humidity and weather changes. This, without fail, will effect how easily or difficult it is to slide the two pieces together. This Sentinel was carved and finished at a 45% humidity (for my guitars). If you find that your slide is too difficult, you can apply clear nail polish to one angled surface of the slide area, allow to dry and test. Add more if necessary. If the slide is too difficult you can lightly sand one angled surface in the slide area and test. Repeat if necessary. I don't have any trouble with mine as humidity is fairly constant over the long term. The addition of the Dycem pad keeps the two carved items together when in use. All in all, it is all fairly efficient.

Never use your Guitar Sentinel without the Dycem pads (or some other high tech anti-slip material). You can place both pads on the underside of the Sentinel as shown in the video and images. Or, you can use one pad under the Sentinel and one between the instrument and the floor. When the Sentinel is used as a workstation support, place one pad between your work surface and the Sentinel, while putting the other pad under the body of the guitar to help keep it from sliding. The Dycem pads offer State of the Technology Anti-Slip Protection, but as with all things, they have limitations. Like any guitar stand, they are only as efficient as the forces that attack them.

The Birdseye in this maple is a rare and mysterious characteristic found in hard maple. There have been theories as to how Birdseye maple forms, but no scientific evidence has been presented to verify the true roots of its existence. The one-of-a-kind figure is sought after in all cultures by a multitude of woodworkers, craftsman, and artists. Birdseye maple is excellent for custom pool cues, musical instruments, furniture, and small items such as jewelry boxes due to its unique and amazing figure.

Birdseye Maple Spirituality, healing, cleansing, intelligence, knowledge, focus, communication, binding, love and prosperity.

It is unknown was causes the swirling 'bird's eye' pattern in the wood. The majority of the wood comes from trees surrounding the Great Lakes.

Natural Habitat - Great Lakes region of North America

This Guitar Sentinel is hand crafted from the finest woods and finishes I can find. Several hours are spent detailing each stand to make sure the woods finest attributes are left in their natural beauty. Several coats of a unique oil finish are added bringing out the luster of the wood that will deepen and enhance as the years go bye. The rest on each Guitar Sentinel is made of very soft deer hide to protect your instrument finish against scratches and chemical reactions that can occur with rubberized materials. Crafting each creation is a spiritual experience for me. The wood is charged in full moonlight prior to any changes being made to the raw lumber. Each completed Guitar Sentinel is then charged again during the next full moon. I do my best to let the wood guide my blades and my inspirations.

I have been artistically crafting with wood for over 60 years, following the traditions of my family of artisans dating back as far as I can discover. Log Cabins, Intricate Gazebos and Decks, Wands, Cabinetry, Fine Furniture, Delicate and Intricate Jewelry Boxes, Humidors and the like, Tables, Chairs, Custom Orders, Doors, Treasure Chests...

!!!Please make sure you do not put your instrument on bare concrete, hardwood, tile etc. Carpet, a towel, the instrument strap, a piece of your Dycem on the floor is quite necessary for stability and safety!!!

Dycem pads are easily washed with soap and water, towel dried, to refresh anti-slip properties. Clean is Best! Dirty pads don't have any resistance. I have had good luck drying with a clean paper towel. When attaching your Guitar Sentinal to a table or chair or... always give it a firm push to help the Dycem Anti-Slip pads adhere to their potential. They also seem to stick better when left in place for extended periods.

I hope you love your Alien Artifacts (my company) Guitar Sentinel (my creation) as much as I. Thank you for visiting my store. Rock on, kenny t.
