Live edge buy jewelry box made from a tree - think the wood is cypress- not sure. the piece has the live edge of the tree with even a branch as an off shoot. the center has been carved out to resemble a heart. Pull the heart out and store jewelry with also a hidden drawer. see images.
it is a heavy solid piece. looks like the back has been cut off and reassembled to carve out the core heart piece - see image.
The bottom of the piece has a piece of felt to protect surface, the jewelry drawers are lined with red felt.
The live edge of the bowl has been sanded back to allow the tree rings to show.
