I do the calligraphy in black ink on an acid-free sheet of hot-press watercolor paper; cream pastel paper or smooth, white Bristol.

Depending on which illustration you choose, I'll either add flowers with touches of watercolor in shades of lavender or coral,...or a night sky, brushed with blue or green to set off the iridescent gold stars. Want a different color? Just ask! I always love special requests.
