1899 Agriculture Antiquarian Book, Insects buy of New Jersey, American Farm, Farming, and Ranch History

This very old hard cover book is "Insects of New Jersey: A List of the species Occurring in New Jersey with Notes on those of Economic Importance". Published in 1900 by MacCrellish & Quigley of Trenton, New Jersey for the State of New Jersey. This is an authentic book of the era - it is not a reproduction, not a re-print, not a digital print. The book offers highly informative statistical reports as well as economic analysis because of "how extensive the depredations of injurious insects have become". The book appears complete, with 756 pages in fair condition for their age, and there are numerous illustrations, maps, and plates, all in black and white. There is a good index, plus a supplemental index. The hard cover book measures about 9 1/8" by 6 1/2" by 1 3/4". The binding is intact and secure, and the covers show wear consistent with age. There is a name written in cursive in pencil on the first inside blank buy page attesting that this was once owned by J.B. Weiss, and there is a notation in pencil in cursive inside the front cover saying "Entomol Dept." In good condition.
