Felted textile art, buy summer meadow

As a child did you ever lie down at the top of a hill and let yourself roll all the way to the bottom? This is that hill! I remember doing it just for the sheer joy . My hill was covered in buttercups and this picture makes me smile at the memory. I can even smell the grass.

I made this picture buy using the wet felting method and included curly locks, wool neps, yarn and silk in to the felt. When it was dry I added both hand and machine embroidery. It comes already stretched on an artists canvas and is ready to hang.
