Our Hairpin Table Legs are Authentic Reproductions of the Original Classic 1950's Legs.
We produce these for several small companies specializing in reproduction furniture designs.
These same heirloom quality legs are also available to you, the DIY homeowner.

As 2nd generation welders we've applied all different types of welds.
The weld on these legs reproduces the same look as the 1940's-1950's, giving a nostalgic feel for good old "Local Hometown" quality products of the Mid-Century.

Though easy to make compared to most projects, we've made them better.
The plates are dimpled, the rod is run through the mounting plate and welded around the rod on the reverse side.
This provides a great solid weld, actually proven a little stronger than a surface weld, and has a cleaner look. There is no possibility of moisture or the weld degrading in any way like a surface weld.
Old-timers oppose this method because of the extra work involved and try to discredit buy it with misinformation. This was the original technique as we have seen many originals at auctions. (SEE PHOTO) This weld has NEVER failed.
