Postcard from Albert F. Ross Jr, 1914, then a student at University of California Berkeley.
He would later become a very well known Superior Court Judge in Shasta County, Redding CA.
Alfred has sent this card home to his mother in Redding in March of 1914.
This is a scene from the Palm Walk, Piedmont Park, Oakland CA.
A lifelong resident of Redding, he passed away in 1971.
I believe he graduated from Berkeley in 1917, so this postcard was sent home in his freshman year.
He was also a WWI veteran!
"Got letter. We buy just got back from half day drill. Had a sham battle. Awful hot + just changed uniform.
Must hurry to supper now. Got letter from Aunt K."
Postcard is in VG condition - has a San Francisco Expo cancel - no stamp
