A lovely charm from the middle of the 20th Century with full hallmarks for Birmingham 1950. The charm itself depicts the emblem for the ‘Festival of Britain' that occurred in 1951. The emblem was designed by Abram Games and the festival was a national exhibition to celebrate Britain's buy achievements such as technology, science and the arts, particularly after the war. The charm is made from solid gold and the beautiful, colourful enamel has survived mainly in tact. A lovely pop of colour for your necklace or bracelet.
The charm will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.
