We have found this to be a major issue with Glowforge lasers. The main cable to the laser that rides in the gantry has been known to wear from contact with the textured paint. We had to have these made since Glowforge does not sell them. These are made in USA and are great quality. They are 54"s long the factory cable is 52" on the pros, but they worked perfectly for our machine. If you have a different model the slack can be taken up at the bottom.
