Vintage STERLING English Floral Hinged Bangle Bracelet, Engraved Signed buy Marked Silver Birmingham 1972, CMR England, Safety Chain (BV885)

Vintage Made in ENGLAND STERLING silver hinged bangle with floral engraving and safety chain. The front has a beautiful flower pattern and the back is plain. The British hallmarks are an anchor symbol which means the piece was made in BIRMINGHAM, a lion passant which was buy the official British symbol for sterling silver, and the upper case date letter "X" which indicates this bracelet was made in 1972. I believe the makers mark is CMR for CMR Jewelry Ltd. The front of this bracelet is in wonderful vintage condition with only gentle wear. The back has one indent to the plain section near the clasp that is approximately 11mm. There is also metal darkening around the part of the notch that is hidden for the tab clasp. Please see all photos. The clasp holds quite well and there is also a safety chain.

The inside measurements are about 6 5/16 x 6 1/16, or approximately 6 7/8 around the inside of this piece when closed. This bangle is about 3/4" wide and weighs approximately 26 grams. What a fabulous treasure to have been carried through the years! Makes an awesome lasting gift and very collectible for the vintage lover.
