I'm not sure how to turn the white screen off to see what you would be recording. buy You can see the power up white screen in the eye piece picture. I don't have a blank tape to try it out. Maybe there's a button I'm not seeing. Not sure if battery holds a charge. There's a remote record button with a long cord. Battery and charger. Comes with locking hard case.
