Studio pottery lidded jar. A hand thrown jar decorated in black and white slips. The body of the jar features an applied lizard motif with lizard motif. The jar is by Lincoln Kirby-Bell and dates from the short period where he worked in St Ives, before setting up his own studio in Newlyn. The pot shows the buy influences from the aboriginal art and that from ancient civilizations typical of his work and acquired during his early life in Southern Australia and on archaeological sites in the Americas.
The jar is in excellent clean condition with no damage to report. It stands 5.25" tall and measures 4" across the widest part of the body.
