This handembroidered pink Uzbek suzani wallhanging is a Central Asian traditional embroidery with home made silk thread. It features teapots and pomegranates as an all-time popular symbol along the silkroad. The pomegranate stands for fertility and the teapot for hospitality. The design is very old. I bought this Suzani on the famous Registanplace in Samarkand some years ago.
