Inspired by Jeremiah 2:13 - “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”
We often place our identity and hope into cracked vessels. The education, job, family, and various definitions of success are guaranteed to crack, break, and shatter. We are left empty-handed and wanting, no matter how reliable these "cisterns" may appear. But how sweet it is to put our hope in Jesus: The One who remains constant through all time and buy keeps His promises to His children. In Him we not only have hope for this life, but for eternity.
