Lovely silver spoon. The handle's front features the phrase 'G.E.L. von E.K. 1828'. The use of the German preposition 'von' suggests an origin in Germany or Austria, but I don't know for certain. The reverse bears two marks, one with a bird in a flag, the other with the letters 'FG', though I could not determine what either signifies. The spoon shows some wear to the bowl, dents mostly that could be easily fixed by a good silversmith, but is otherwise in good condition. It measures 8 1/2 inches long x 1 3/4 inches wide and it weighs 33 grams.
