Lilli Ann clothing still commands a very high dollar amount which reflects the respect this vintage brand maintains. This suit is attractively priced and is a fine example of 1960's Jackie-O chic! The jacket is fashionably cropped and fully lined with no front closure. The 3/4 length sleeves are slightly belled adding additional interest.
The skirt has a metal zipper with a button closure at the waist and is lined.
Lilli Ann was started in 1933 in San Francisco by Adolph Schuman and is named after his wife, Lillian.
The fine fabrics were bought from small textile companies that were facing financial ruin after the war. Schuman bought from them and was credited with saving many of them from having to close. For his efforts, Schuman was awarded medals from both France and Italy and the Lilli Ann customer got a suit oh high quality, hand loomed fabric.
