buy What a pretty little machine. Here is an antique WHITE treadle sewing machine head. Everything moves easily - hand wheel turns and needle goes up and down smoothly. Patent dates range from 1872 - 1881 and this machine has a shuttle and bobbin. Based on the serial number I believe this machine dates from approx. 1893, perhaps slightly earlier.

The machine has some finish and decal wear as you can see in the photos but the decals that remain are very pretty. It is possible appearance could be improved with additional cleaning and polishing. On the handwheel is a section about 2" long where the silvery trim has worn off - can supply you with a photo if you'd like a closer look, the rest of the trim is shiny. When not in use this machine will make a lovely display.
