Design
This handsome gents ring is built in style #43 of my online selection catalog. A streamlined unisex style that sports the solitaire gem nestled into a curved pocket. This U- shaped pocket is supported by flanking plates for a smooth transition to the band. Each side of the stone is set by partial bezels made from the top of the gem pocket ensuring a solid mounting. The gemstone is well protected in this elevated position with maximum frontal show. The flat band tapers just slightly to the back and this hefty band is a rounded comfortable fit.
Gemstone
I selected this beautiful natural orangish pink color of untreated Tourmaline from Brazil as the feature stone for this solid unisex ring. This is a bi-color stone that appears more like one color from the front view buy. From the end view one can more clearly see that the color is a combination of a rosy purplish pink and a golden yellowish orange. This fine gem has eye clean clarity and a sharp tourmaline cut weighing .83 carat and measuring 5.3 x 4.7 mm.
