Product code: Vintage buy dragon embroidered silk Tang Zhuang /jacket
Suitable for framing. The stunning silk tang Zhuang is a pretty turquoise color. The only label is the made in China. No fabric content or size. Approximately a size M. It measures 28" long. Laying flat seam to seam it's 21 1/2" across under the arms. It is most certainly silk. It appears to be all hand embroidered in a dragon design in a red circle with a Greek key design. Shades of blue, orange and silver/grey. The trim along the collar , down the front and frog closures are burgundy/wine. The bottm and sleeve hem has what looks like mountains. Believe to be from around the 1950's or 60's but could be much older. I inherited it from my great aunt over 40 years ago and I've had it sored in a cedar chest. Good condition with some issues. There is a stain under one arm. shown buy in the last 2 photos from the outside and inside. Most likely perspiration stain. It does appear that someone tried to clean it at some point. There are also several small areas of fabric damage or wear.
