Product code: Alpine Christmas Twins, buy Limited Edition, 410/2000, 1992, Madame Alexander, Christmas Shoppe, 8" Vintage Doll Set, Box, Wrist Tags, Paperwork

Alpine Christmas Twins, Limited Edition, 410/2000, 1992, Madame Alexander, Christmas Shoppe, 8" Vintage Doll Set, Box, Wrist Tags, Paperwork were produced exclusively for "The Christmas Shoppe," in Helen, GA., for that year only. As such, they are a very desirable set and, additionally, some sets have mixed hair color, including one redhead or one brunette with a blonde. Getting matching hair color is an added bonus. Wrist Tags state their number in the edition, rather than a COA. Original box is in good condition with typical shelf wear along lid edges. clear label, good overall finish and shape, though not the best box. These were often stored with holiday decorations and the cardboard shows more than typical wear but is acceptable. (NOTE: Doll's descriptive details in 2nd paragraph). Both have eyes that open very easily manually. Hair retains original style/cut on both dolls and their condition is quite lovely. All garments and undergarments, hats, as well as all trims, metal accents, shoes and shoe soles are exemplary. This set is in the greatest condition and looks new. Please study the photos to confirm description. NOTE: SHIPPING OVERAGE MAY APPLY, depending on destination. Only actual shipping label cost is charged.

These Alpine Twins are simply precious in their traditional Northern European costumes, with a Christmas theme. They borrow elements from Tyrolean, German, Austrian folk costumes, with matching holly print, hers on the full skirt, his on buy the vest. They are quite elaborate, each having a lovely felt hat with bold gold metallic tassel. His breeches are cotton velveteen with wonderful metal accents and tiny embroidered bands, seen on his suspenders and along sides of his socks. His tiny, woven, gold metallic trim on vest arm openings is repeated on the sides of his breeches, which end in 2 gold colored metal bars. Shorts have a tri-leaf metal accent and his metal buckle is embossed and rather intricate. His sister's red velveteen bodice with gold front cross lacing complements his outfit nicely and her open cut-work, embroidered apron takes center stage. I just love her floral red and white wavy trim band near the hem. It adds movement and interest, also accentuates her crisp white apron. These two are a showstopper and pose very nicely in a variety of captivating ways!

MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.

MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."

MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total. Bear in mind that restringing a doll adds value.
