This old foundry mold is a solid wood form that was used to make the tooling that would make the parts and components that made America run. Given there are at least three notations on this mold using the word "VENT", I think this was some kind of piping or housing that vented water or chemicals or maybe even air and gases. This is a great old piece of manufacturing history. This is beautiful and buy meaningful all on its own, but you could also re-purpose this as a base or cradle or mounting block for your inspiration. The foundry mold measures about 11 3/8" wide by 9" tall by 5 1/2" deep. It weighs almost 4 pounds.
