The first thing that caught my eyes were the rolling mountains in the distance. The sun was slowly setting, making all the shades around me deepen. The mountains seemed to be one solid, yawning shape. In contrast, I had these delicate, swaying sweet grass inches away. They very likely covered the mountains in front of me, but the distance of it hid its details. It reminded me of all the beautiful things ahead; the goals and dreams we hope and long for. Those things that we can only arrive to when we steward and value the little details of every day. What seems, at times, monotonous and small are often the building blocks of all that is ahead.
