buy This is a framed antique copy of a famous woodblock print by Utamaro, Kitagawa who lived from 1753 to 1806. The title, " Awabi" means Abalone and this diver has just returned from her dive. Utamaro was known for his Bijin ukiyo-e ( beautiful women) woodblock prints.
The frame is 15 1/4" high x 12 1/4" wide and the print is 12" x 8". The antique print was made in the 1920's or 30's. This is not a woodblock print but a very good copy of one.
