The Sunflower is my favourite flower and has always been one of my favourites to paint. I wanted to go back to the Sunflower in this piece because I haven't done many on smaller scales. This piece has a bit of pointillism technique to it, specially in the buy middle of the flower. The sharp shading and chunkiness of this piece gives it a fuzzy realistic style. I wanted to add a playful spiral in the middle to bring more colour and depth to this piece. This sunny bright piece is an eye grabber and will be a great conversation piece in any special nook.
