"Dare to Dream" is made for all of us, who refuse to believe that things are bad, and insists on that things are good if only you make them so! If you recently graduated, congratulations, and you will find a good job, if you recently were made redundant, congratulations, finally a chance to find a more exciting job! I know it's an buy old cliche.... but let's make positive thinking work!!

a handprinted aquatint etching; I ink up the copperplate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity.
Aquatint is a technique where deep tones can be achieved on an etching, it involves rosin, that gets melted onto the copperplate with the help of a burner.

"Dare to Dream" is printed in an edition of only 30 prints,please be aware that I can't guarantee that you get the number on the photo......
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.

"Dare to Dream" is hand printed on a piece of warm white 285g printmaking paper, perfect for the image,
the paper measures 8" x 12" (21 cm x 30 cm A4)
and the actual image measures 3.5" x 8" (9cm x 20 cm)

I'll mail your etching in a padded envelope, the print is placed on a piece of backing, wrapped in cellophane and comes with a nice "Original Print by Mariann Johansen-Ellis" sticker and a leaflet explaining what an etching is. If you are giving the etching away as a gift, let me know and I'll gift wrap.
