buy This vintage Duro Metal Product Co. valve grinder has been transformed into a one of a kind industrial tap handle. This valve grinder is stamped with No. 411. The crank handle is in working order though the shaft has been disabled in order to add to the spindle. The red paint is original and the wear shows years of service. The height of this pull is 13 inches from the top of the grinder to the bottom of the ferrule. The Grinder has been fitted inside a custom turned and finished walnut spindle stained with a dark finish. Multiple coats of poly have been added to seal in the color and to protect from the elements.
The Duro Metal Products Co. was established in 1917 in Chicago with business picking up in the 1930's. There trademarked logo was "Tools of Progress" first used in 1934. The Duro Metal Product Co. is no longer active.
