This beautiful solid Sterling Silver ring has a large 14x10mm ( 9/16 inches by 3/8 inches ) oval cabochon. Sapphire is very hard and is great for a lifetime of wear!

The cabochon is lab grown buy Star Sapphire. It has a 6 ray star which seems to follow any light source. This is the same Syn. Star Sapphire that has been popular for over a half century. The original patent was "Linde Star Sapphire", lab grown by Union Carbide. The element is corundum and has a Moh's Scale hardness of 9. Only diamond, either lab grown or natural is a harder gemstone, having a hardness of 10.
