Fall in the Catskills is riotous with flaming yellow, orange and buy red leaves set off by the deep greens of hemlock and cedar while evening shadows create vivid green and soft grey shadows across roads and lawns. This is my drive home along Van de Bogart Road in the Hamlet of Zena - which could also be an idyllic journey in a fantasy novel.
Demo paintings from art classes I teach are inspired by photos taken in Northern California, on trips to the tropics and across the US. In 2017 I moved my studio to Woodstock, New York to discover beautiful new landscapes to paint. Some will repeat as they sell (this is Version 2), but each will be a little different as they are indeed originals.
