Albrecht Dürer Feldhase (Young Hare) by Ottmar Hörl
Dürer's “The Great Piece of Turf" made of hares: In August 2003, Nuremberg celebrated the anniversary of the famous watercolour “The Great Piece of Turf" by Albrecht Dürer. For this occasion, Ottmar Hörl created a three-dimensional, life-size version of Dürer's famous watercolour “Young Hare" of 1502 and installed 7,000 plastic hares in four different green tones on the market square in Nuremberg, calling it “The Large Piece of Hare". Today the plastic figures can be found, including in the Viennese Albertina, where Dürer's hare watercolor is also shown.
Plastic, unbreakable and non-toxic, made in Germany, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
