Floorcloths have several coats of high quality Minwax protective Polycrylic, and can be scrubbed with a gentle cleaning pad and white vinegar or other glass cleaner. They are hypoallergenic and water resistant.
A thin buy Oriental rug carpet pad is recommended if floorcloth is prone to sliding (not included). Using on top of carpeting is not advisable.
