Stoneware teapot buy Nordlys series, design Maria Philippi, Søholm Denmark 1960s Mid Century Modern design

buy Beautiful teapot from Søholm, model 3382 in the Nordlys (Northern Light) series, designed by Maria Philippi. Shiny golden brown glaze with a special blue haze complemented with a small embossed rectangular decoration. The brass handle is wrapped with woven rattan, which can be removed to wash the teapot. 
Size of the teapot: Height 14 cm diameter 16 cm. The weight of the teapot is 1670 grams
The teapot is in very good condition, with only minimal traces of wear.

The Søholm ceramics factory was founded in 1835 in Rønne on the Danish Island of Bornholm. It was closed in 1996.
During its existence the Søholm factory produced many iconic and highly collectable pieces.
