What a fun, kitschy, campy, unusual and altogether adorable Set of Bookends!

Manufactured in the 50s, and carved from Salt Stone, these cuter than cute hand painted Bookends feature an Asian Boy figure on one and an Asian girl on the other, each appearing to be totally captivated by their choices in reading materials. The designs on this Set are done in shades of green and gold, set against an off-white background.

These Bookends are in good condition considering their advanced age. They have no chips, cracks, or repairs - but do have areas of chipping paint and could use a more thorough cleaning. Please look at all of my listing photos for an accurate view of the condition of these vintage pieces.

Weighing in at an impressive 1-1/2 pounds each, these sturdy Bookends can hold a stack of large books buy as well as a grouping of children's books. Each Bookend measures 6" tall, 3-1/2" wide and 4-1/4" deep. Unmarked.

Perfect for display in your retro styled bookshelf. Perfect to use in a child's room or nursery. Would also make fun conversations pieces on your home office desk - fun, funky and retro cool pieces for just about anywhere!
