This original handmade glass mosaic panel features colorful tropical fish amongst grassy reeds with a turquoise blue background. It has been created using hand-cut transparent and translucent stained glass adhered to a pane of clear glass that has been permanently mounted into an upcycled vintage solid wood frame (9 1/8" x 11 1/8" - measured to frame outer edge). The mosaic has been grouted using a dark grey-colored grout. Hanging hardware included.

Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it.

The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display.

All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage. Subtle imperfections and signs of character may be present.
