Vintage Primitive Painting American Covered Bridge in Winter signed Glodene buy King Landscape Farmhouse Decor

This charming little primitive oil on board painting of a covered bridge in a winter landscape draws the eye with the snow - created by the heavier, textured use of white. The sky tones seem to change throughout the day, depending on the light. We have not been able to identify the artist, Glodene King, but the painting was found in the Dan River area of North Carolina. We thought we could identify the bridge with its date of 1883, only to find out buy that 1883 was a HUGE year for building covered bridges throughout the country.
The frame, although vintage, is definitely newer than the painting. The frame is 20 1/4 by 16 1/2 and the painting is 16 by 12.
