Presenting: A smart and chic fuchsia vintage skirt suit complete with gold buttons by Oleg Cassini, the designer and former personal couturier to first lady Jackie O.



-Dates from very late 1980s to 1990s.
-His brand label and all tags are present.
-This set is a vintage size 12.
-Outer shell of jacket and skirt made from a fuchsia 50% polyester & 50% rayon blend, and inner matching hot pink lining is made from 100% acetate. Both jacket and skirt are completely lined.
-This ensemble is a true “90s does 60s” style, and represents the designer's more modernized version of his original Jackie O power suits.

Key Design Elements/Features:

-Jacket is fitted yet boxy, accompanied by a slender pencil skirt, both entirely one solid shade of fuchsia. All key elements of the illustrious 60s silhouette.
- Standard, set in sleeves, above the elbow in length.
-Single breasted with three gold, metal buttons along the center front jacket opening.
-Each button has “Paris Couture” engraved around it's outer rim.
-Short, notched lapel.
- Front of the jacket constructed of four fabric panels, attached to one another buy with horizonal seams that align with each of the three buttons. A reoccurring feature of Oleg Cassini's jackets.
- Longline jacket, with bottom hem ending around the lower hip.
-Tight, fitted straight cut mini skirt, w/ bottom hem ending above knee, around the mid-thigh.
-High waisted and defined by ~1inch thick waist band that nips in the natural waist.
-Two knife pleats, extending directly from each side of front waist band.
-A slit pocket at each hip hidden along the vertical side seams.
-Very short kick pleat at the center back bottom hem acts as a skirt slit.
- Pink, plastic button secures the waist band in the center back w/ matching pink YKK zipper directly underneath button.

Condition Assessment:
-Condition rating for this ensemble is Near Mint.
-No major or moderate defects found, and barely any minor found either.
-Some extremely minimal piling to outer fabric.
