*MINT (M) : Has never been opened nor has been played. The record is brand new in its original factory seal.
*NEAR MINT (NM) : A nearly perfect record, that has been played only a few times at most. The record is free from scratches and surface noise.
*EXCELLENT (E) : Nearly perfect record, has some barely noticeable "hairlines", but overall is absolutely flawless.
*VERY GOOD + (VG+) : May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience.
*VERY GOOD (VG) : Has some evident groove wear on sight or light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. The record plays with some surface noise but does not overpower the music.
* GOOD & GOOD + (G) (G+) : Has significant surface noise and groove wear.
* POOR & FAIR (P) (F) : The record is in bad shape, can be bent, have cracks and skip or repeat at certain moments.

-Once in a while, you can clean your stylus with a special brush.
-Always store the record in the inner sleeve to protect it.
