Vintage 40's Mertens Fries Witch Hansel Gretel Mounted Wood Cut Outs Nursery Whimsical wooden fairy tale inspired hand painted Witch, Hansel and Gretel and a forest tree mounted on a wooden board so that they can stand up alone and don't need to be wall mounted True vintage 1940's Very vibrant colors The tree and the witch are both stamped Mertens-Fries on the back The birds on the tree don't appear to be original, they appear to have been added later 16" tall 17.5" wide 2" buy deep Excellent condition with a few small scratches and spots on the mounting board. Minor paint loss at the top of the tree and a few tiny chips on Hansel's shoulder.
