buy "Meditrina" A Giclée print on matte wrapped canvas with a protective coating, the print measures 8x10 inches and is stretched on a .75" frame. The print is signed, titled and dated on the back and ships flat. This is a print of the original painting by Emily Balivet, 2009.

The Roman goddess of wine, Meditrina, Daughter of Apollo. She was the deity in charge of wine, longevity and health... so concerned with our well-being that some say the word "medicine" came from her name. Every Oct. 11 in honor of the new vintage, a festival called Meditrinalia was celebrated. When the season's harvest was in and its first wines made, revelers would mix new wine with old, drink a copious amounts and pour a little onto the earth for the gods and goddesses.
