Felted Shih Tzu, Felted Dog, Pet Memorial Sculpture

Shih Tzu dogs can be so sweet and loving, it's no wonder they're a very popular breed. This little Shih Tzu was sculpted using various types of wool fiber over a partial wire armature. He is in a fixed position, but his tail can be positioned on either side. He is approximately 2 3/4 inches high at his highest point and 5 1/2 inches long. He has an acrylic nose and glass eyes. This sculpture is not suitable for young children, the eyes and nose could cause a choking hazard. Please also keep felted pets away from real pets as the natural buy fibers are very tempting to chew.

**Needle felting is the process of interlocking wool and or other fibers by stabbing the fibers repeatedly with a specially crafted (and very sharp) barbed needle. The barbs catch the fibers causing them to tangle, interlock and become woven together. It can take thousands of stabs and many hours to complete a single sculpture. Needle Felting is a sculpting technique that requires a lot of patience and time to complete even a small sculpture. **
